Countryside Public Health nursing staff are here to help you with your pregnancy and childbirth questions and plans.  Are you aware of our WIC program?  Please check to see if you qualify!  If not, our staff can still offer you many great resources to help you through pregnancy, childbirth, and breastfeeding your baby.  Be sure to contact Countryside Public Health staff if you have questions.

Moms' Mental Health Matters

The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) has a Moms' Mental Health Matters initiative designed to educate consumers and health care providers about who is at risk for depression and anxiety during and after pregnancy, the signs of these problems, and how to get help. What is Postpartum Depression? Postpartum Depression is a depression that occurs after having a baby. Feelings of postpartum depression are more intense and last longer than those of "baby blues," a term used to describe the worry, sadness, and tiredness many women experience after having a baby.
