Home Outreach Modification for the ElderlyHome Outreach Modification for the ElderlyThe HOME Program is a program that helps support independent living at home. It is supported by Prairie Five CAC, Inc. The Home program assists persons 60+ with home modifications that help the homeowner make tasks easier, reduce accidents and support independent living in the home. It also addresses minor repairs that are considered safety issues. Examples Grab bars- hand railings- Stair treads- Smoke detectors- Carbon Monoxide detectors- Exhaust Fans- Minor safety repairs. This program has no income guidelines. Just fill out a simple application. The Home Program is funded through the Upper Minnesota Valley Area of Aging Title lll B Federal Older Americans Act Dollars.
